This 2-day package includes a Robotrace Precision Challenge Camp and a Minecraft Agent Adventures Camp.

Robot trace Precision Challenge Camp & Minecraft Agent Adventure (Ang Mo Kio)
Introduction
Students learn essential robotics skills using SPIKE Prime in this hands-on Line Tracing Workshop. They will build and program robots to navigate line tracing challenges, enhancing their problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities. Engaging activities and friendly competitions provide a fun introduction to the exciting world of robotics.
Schedule
10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Introduction to Line Tracing
- Overview of line tracing robotics challenges and objectives
- Explanation of basic SPIKE Prime concepts (motors, sensors, programming)
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Build and Program Your Line Tracing Robot
- Students work individually or in pairs to assemble and program their robots to follow a line
- Facilitators assist with troubleshooting and guiding the building process
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Test Runs and Adjustments
- Students conduct test runs to fine-tune their robots
- Facilitators provide additional guidance on programming and strategy
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
- Lunch provided
- Free play and relaxation time
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Line Tracing Challenge
- Students compete in a line tracing challenge, where their robots must navigate a course
- Race for the quickest time to complete course, or number of laps in a given time
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Final Adjustments and Debrief
- Students refine their robots based on challenge performance
- Group discussion on strategies, what was learned, and how to improve designs
- Photo/video taking of students and robots
Introduction
Students learn the basics of Minecraft Education Edition and coding by instructing the Agent to perform tasks using block-based programming tools like MakeCode. Through a series of hands-on coding challenges focused on farming and building structures, students enhance their problem-solving skills while working individually and collaboratively. By the end of the bootcamp, students will have gained valuable coding experience, shared strategies, and developed creative solutions in a fun and engaging environment.
